Hero Wars – Fantasy Battles Games

Description

Hero Wars - Fantasy Battles is an Idle Heroes-style RPG with plenty of teambuilding, upgrading, and progression. It’s got clear visuals and a very straightforward western art style, making it a great choice for someone looking for a less Anime-styled idle RPG>

Hero Wars is a team-based RPG with combat that mostly plays itself. It’s often compared with games such as Idle Heroes. In Hero Wars, you assemble a team of fantasy warriors, wizards, and monsters and battle with various foes. Game modes include story levels, PVP, and more.

On easier levels, the game is about team building, upgrades, and progression. You can hit the “auto” button and watch as your team of fantasy heroes battles for you. On harder levels, however, the game adds a bit of strategy and timing. You’ll find that the game gets much easier when you pay a bit of attention and activate your heroes’ ultimate abilities manually, rather than letting the auto-battler do everything for you.

Like other idle combat games, Hero Wars is all about slow progression. You’ll spend plenty of time letting your team accrue victories on its own in order to earn the resources you need to level them up and equip them. In many ways, Hero Wars is about time, not about strategy.

That said, there’s plenty of room to flex your smarts and your skill in Hero Wars. As mentioned above, the game’s idle system is deliberately flawed. Manually playing difficult levels will help you progress faster. Understanding the game’s characters and combat systems can let you put together a powerful team that will crush foes with ease. In a lot of ways, the fun of Hero Wars - Fantasy Battles comes from exploiting your skills in order to reduce the time it takes to power up your team.

Hero Wars - Fantasy Battles isn’t quite a gacha game, but it does have gambling-esque elements. In order to get heroes, you’ll need soul stones, which come mostly from chests. You can open one chest for free each day. Opening chests beyond that will cost real money. It’s quite reasonable to get most of the powerful heroes in Hero Wars for free eventually, but you’ll need to play for quite a while in order to do that.

Acquiring each hero isn’t the end of your journey. When you first get a hero, you’ll only have one of their four skills. To get the others, you’ll need to get them to green, blue, and then violet rank. You’ll have to level up your heroes AND collect their soul stones, so this can be a long, arduous process.

Hero Wars has a robust guild system that can help you find friends and build relationships with other players. Your guild mates can help you with advice about the game, work with you on shared objectives, and chill out in chat while you farm in the game. The community in Hero Wars is one of the big draws that keeps many players coming back to the game again and again.

Hero Wars - Fantasy Battles has been the target of an expensive ad campaign that showcases pull-the-pin style puzzles. While these puzzles show up as bonus loot occasionally, they are definitely not the focus of Hero Wars. Instead, the game focuses on team building, combat, player interaction, and PVP.

If you’re looking to get ahead in Hero Wars - Fantasy Battles, here are a few quick tips that will help you crush the competition.

First, find an active guild! Once your player level is high enough, you can find a guild of like-minded players. Not only will this give you in-game rewards, but it’ll also give you a great source of tips and strategies. The meta in games like Hero Wars evolves continuously over time, so your guild can help you stay afloat from patch to patch.

Second, try to build a team of powerful heroes. Astaroth is one of the first heroes you get in the game and is an absolute beast in the current meta, so try to prioritize upgrading him early. Past that, look for heroes like Martha, Jorgen, and Cleaver if you can. If you can’t find any of these, buying Celeste for $2 is generally a good idea. You can assemble effective teams with off-meta heroes, but it’s a lot harder.

Third, make sure you log in every day! The daily chest is a big deal, and doing repeatable farming activities is a sure way to progress slowly over time. Hero Wars isn’t a game where you’re likely to have big power spikes every day, so try to build a habit of logging on, doing the easy stuff, and getting a bit of the experience and loot you need. You’ll make slow, steady progress with just a few minutes each day.
