CSR 2 Realistic Drag Racing Games

Description

CSR 2 Drag Racing Car Games is a game that’s all about collecting and driving fast cars. Perfect your shifts as you drag race in competitive events and earn money to buy and upgrade your favorite supercars, classic muscle cars, and more!

CSR 2 (or Custom Street Racing 2, if you’d like to use the name of the first game) is today’s leading mobile racing game. First released in 2016, it’s had over 6 years of updates with new cars, systems, and refinements that have turned it into one of the most fun and polished mobile games on today’s market.

CSR 2 has three big features going for it. First, the graphics are terrific – and it’s an old game, so it runs perfectly fine on older devices. Second, there are a LOT of cars, with modern supercars, older classics, and more added every patch. Finally, the game is quite generous with its monetization model. While you’ll have to be somewhat stingy with your resources and upgrades, you can absolutely enjoy everything the game has to offer without spending a dime.

Let’s spend a bit more time diving into all of these features. When CSR 2 was released, the graphics were absolutely mind-blowing for a mobile game. These days, they’re still at the top of the pack. While we’ve got plenty of modern mobile games with killer 2D art, games with incredibly detailed 3D models, reflections, and realistic backgrounds are hard to find. CSR 2 looks like a fairly recent console game. Perhaps more importantly, it’s got a degree of polish and shine that really helps the cars look good, even beyond the incredible rendering engine.

The cars look good. Beyond that, however, there are plenty of cars to choose from. You’ve got standard sedans, sports cars, dedicated racers, supercars, classic muscle cars, classic sports cars, and lots more. You can earn cars from packs, buy them with in-game currency that’s fairly abundant, win them from events, and even restore them from scrap. Each update adds a few more cars to add to your collection. You won’t be able to get every car without spending money, but it’s not too hard to pick out a car or two from the roster that really appeals to you and spend your resources getting that car to its final, upgraded form so you can use it to destroy the competition.

CSR 2 Drag Racing is a freemium game. It’s got the same sort of microtransactions that you see on other games, but it’s fairly relaxed in its implementation of most freemium mechanics. While you can spend money to get ahead, it’s definitely not necessary. Instead, with a bit of patience and a couple of daily play sessions, you can burn through daily rewards and live races and get the stuff you need to progress your account. You won’t max out everything instantly – or at all, necessarily – but you’ll be able to get the cars you need to complete event races and progress.

CSR 2 Drag Racing has a variety of game modes. In each drag race (the game’s only driving mode), your car goes forward and steers itself. Your goal is to time each shift, switching gears in a way that maximizes the power delivered by the engine. The ideal power band varies for each car, so you’ll want to look up the proper shift times for each vehicle (and largely ignore the in-game indicator). In addition to a plethora of race modes, you can also check out your cars in the garage, upgrade them, and tune their performance to meet your driving style.

Long term, the best way to play CSR 2 Drag Racing is to log in twice a day. Each session, do a full 15 live races, get a bunch of keys, and collect all of your daily rewards and parts. During one of your sessions, visit the map and blow through all of the small races that you can. Don’t worry about big events that require a specific car – these are things that you can do for bonus rewards if you have the cars, but they’re not a priority.

In terms of racing, be sure to look up the shift points for your favorite cars. The in-game shift indicator is usually wildly inaccurate. Many supercars enjoy being shifted at very low or high RPM, so be sure to consult your favorite guide for the correct information. Don’t forget to tune your cars, too. Tuning can help smooth out your gameplay and cover any flaws in your shift timings.
