State of survival is trying to survive the zombie apocalypse by clearing zombies away and establishing your base. After saving a girl from certain death, you introduce yourself as Sarge. The young girl Maddie takes you back to her base, where you quickly help them set things up with your great organization skill. The background music is soft but suits the mood of living in a war with zombies. At the start, the game shows you your zombie- killing skills. Maddie can throw bombs, while you have a machine gun. After a quick work to finish off the annoying zombies, she introduces you to the members in the base.  After taking stock of your situation, you decide to reclaim some of the buildings to make the bass stronger and better. The base requires some tender loving care, so you build a tomato farm and lumber factory. In this world where money does not mean anything, food and wood are the two main currencies to upgrade and train troops. Biocap is the premium currency you can earn from completing quests and finishing the story. 

You use these new resources to upgrade your buildings and train your troops, and everyone is happy until they see a helicopter crash nearby. Get rid of some debris around the camp to find more food and wood. investigate buildings to reclaim them, just be mindful of the zombies that will be unwilling to give them up. Save heroes and you can then recruit them into your team. The strength of your team determines how easily you clean up a building or an infestation. 

On the main map, your profile is on the top left corner. The little can of spam underneath is your stamina. Your town’s prosperity is just above your picture, and it is the health of your camp. Your food and wood is on the right hand corner. And the premium currency Biocap is on the far right. At the bottom, you have the storyline in a book icon. Tap Wilderness to exit your camp into the wild world outside. Find your mission list in Missions, upgrade and level up your Heroes on the Heroes tab. Once you make friends in State of Survival: Zombie War, you can find them in Alliance. The Store is where you can buy Biocaps or certain Heroes. Check your backpack for items that you gain throughout the game like extra gear or food packs. 

There are two types of battles in State of Survival: Zombie War. The zombie infestations show up as red. The single zombie are infestations, and you need to send a group of people to clear it. To gain more muscle power, you have to rescue people around your camp, and these are in blue. Attacking zombies and saving people are just part of your job as chief, but it is the exciting part. 

As a leader in your own base, you have to make sure that everyone has a role. There are resource buildings like farms and lumber yards for resources, and you will need a warehouse to store them all. Once you have food and wood, build barracks, hospitals and lookout towers as they are important to keep your people strong and able to fight. Although Alliances are important, mankind has to work together to survive. You can participate in rallies and ask for help in building your base. There are also skirmishes among alliances, so pick a strong one to join. An active alliance will help you gain skills and tips that you will need to build a strong base camp to fight against the infestation. 

Before cleaning the building of infestation, a window will pop up. Your squad’s power will display the type of Heroes are in your team, and the total power you have against the strongest zombie in the building. Marksman has a target icon, Scout has a knife icon, while the brawler is a fist icon. Your aim is underneath the squad, and the rewards if you win. The zombie boss is on the right, with its special skills.The recommendation to win the game is above the boss. If you are confident, tap on the challenge to start the battle.
